A new research lab begins long before the first experiment runs. It starts with questions, people, instruments, space, habits, and a shared sense of what is worth understanding. That process is beginning now for the Doherty Lab at Columbia University Biological Sciences. In January 2027, we will join a department with a long tradition of research, teaching, and training.
